Experience:
Barbra I. Black has been practicing law for over seventeen years and is a founding member of Black & Vitelli, LLC. Attorney Black is a former partner of Burns & Levinson, LLP, where she worked for over eight years in the firm’s Divorce and Family Law group. Prior to that, she was a solo practitioner for several years, concentrating her practice in domestic relations, criminal defense and residential real estate. As a solo practitioner, Attorney Black represented the defendant in Commonwealth vs. Sands, 424 Mass. 184, which resulted in new Massachusetts case law regarding the admissibility of a specific field sobriety test.
Attorney Black concentrates her practice in the areas of family law and criminal law, in addition to the representation of individual buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of residential real estate. Attorney Black has extensive litigation, bench and jury trial experience and handles a variety of cases involving complex and diverse issues in all areas of her practice.
