Experience:

Nancy focuses her practice on employment, contracts and business litigation. In her employment practice, she represents both employers and employees in all aspects of the employment relationship and litigation process. Ms. Newark works with clients ranging in size from individuals, family-owned businesses and entrepreneurial ventures to large nonprofit charitable organizations and international corporations. She provides employment counseling and advice to corporate clients and has worked with clients from Canada and France on their employment issues. She has participated in the MCAD/MCLE certified training program and conducts harassment and discrimination prevention training. She represents clients in arbitration, mediation, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, state and federal court, and appeals.

Ms. Newark has authored articles and publications for Boston Business Journal, New England In-House, Women’s Business, MCLE, and the Massachusetts Bar Association. Ms. Newark has also served on the Boston Bar Association’s labor and employment law section’s steering committee and cochaired both the group’s EEO section and the legislation section. She previously taught employment law as an adjunct professor at the New England School of Law. Ms. Newark is a former Partner of Burns & Levinson, LLP and prior to attending law school, Ms. Newark worked for Massachusetts Congressman Edward J. Markey.
